Colbert scores 22 as Jacksonville beats Fla. Gulf Coast 89-80

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) -Lehmon Colbert scored 22 points to lead Jacksonville to an 89-80 win over Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday.

Marcus Allen scored 15 for Jacksonville, which rallied from a 68-59 deficit in the second half. Brian Gilbert, who came into the game averaging two points per game, added 14 along with Evan Jefferson.

Delvin Franklin scored 23 for Florida Gulf Coast, while Casey Wohlleb added 19 points before fouling out. Rob Quaintance had 12 points and 11 assists.

The Dolphins (12-3, 16-11 Atlantic Sun Conference) hit 60 percent of their shots and 63 percent of their 3-pointers.

The Eagles (5-10, 9-20) shot about 46 percent and had their first 20-loss season after posting four 20-win seasons in five years at the Division II and NAIA level.
