BOSTON (AP) -Corey Lowe had 23 points and 10 rebounds to help Boston University snap a six-game losing streak with a 79-72 victory over Harvard on Tuesday night.

Carlos Strong scored 21 points and Scott Brittain added a career-high 18 in the 2-6 Terriers' seventh straight defeat of Harvard, which was coming off an upset of Michigan and fell to 4-5. The Terriers have won 14 of the last 15 games in the series, with BU coach Dennis Wolff 13-1 against the Crimson.

The Terriers, who had led for a total of 1:40 over the last four games, led most of the way Tuesday, taking the lead for good at 27-26 with 7:20 left in the first half. BU led by as many as 10 in the second half. The Crimson came as close as one point with 13:27 remaining, but two 3-pointers by Lowe re-established control.

Lowe and Strong, who had 19 of his points in the first half and scored over 20 points for the third straight game, were a combined 11-for-18 from 3-point range as BU shot 12-for-23 in 3-pointers.

Drew Housman led Harvard with 21 points and five assists, but didn?t score over the last 13:27. Andrew Pusar added 18 points for the Crimson.
