OREM, Utah (AP) -Reggie Larry had 18 points to lead Boise State to an 87-77 win over Utah Valley State on Thursday night.
The Broncos (7-3) were helped out by Matt Nelson?s double-double as he scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds.
Anthony Thomas? 3-pointer with just under seven minutes left gave the Broncos a nine-point lead.
But the Wolverines (3-7) threatened to rally after a 5-0 run cut Boise State?s lead to 66-62 with five minutes left. The Broncos then took back control using an 11-6 run.
Boise State shot 50.9 percent from the field, while the Wolverines shot 41.3 percent.
Ryan Toolson had a game-high 22 points for Utah Valley State.
The Wolverines led 32-30 at halftime. Neither team was able to get more than a four-point lead in the first half. The swing in momentum came early in the second half after Boise State started pressing the Wolverines on both ends of the court.
