ORONO, Maine (AP) - Jerry Goode's jumper three seconds before the half gave Mount St. Mary's the lead and it went on to a 66-59 victory over Maine on Saturday.
Goode's basket made it 24-23 at intermission, and Mount St. Mary's increased the lead to as much as 49-35 and 53-39 before the Black Bears managed to pull within the final score with two baskets in the last 16 seconds.
Goode led Mount St. Mary's (5-4) with 17 points and Chris Vann had 16.
