OXFORD, Ohio (AP) -Tim Pollitz scored a career-high 26 points and Miami of Ohio shot nearly 57 percent from the field on its way to a 74-68 win over Chicago State on Tuesday night.
Pollitz was 13-22 from the floor and played every minute of the game. He also had a career-high nine assists for the RedHawks (5-4), who trailed by seven at halftime.
Miami of Ohio was able to erase that deficit and prevail thanks to 70 percent shooting from the field in the second half. After making only 3 of 14 three-point attempts in the first half, the RedHawks drained 6 of 7 in the second.
David Holston scored 27 points and had eight assists for Chicago State (4-10), which shot nearly 51 percent from the field. But Chicago State just couldn't keep up with the RedHawks' shooting in the second half.
