BOSTON (AP) -Manny Adako scored a career-high 19 points and added six rebounds to lead host Northeastern to a 76-73 win over Harvard on Wednesday night.

Harvard (4-9) had a chance to tie at the end after Northeastern's Baptiste Bataille missed two free throws with 4.2 seconds left, but Dan McGeary couldn't get a shot off and the Huskies escaped with the win.

Northeastern (4-5) led for most of the first half, taking advantage of a 5:46 scoring drought by the Crimson to turn a 14-10 deficit into a 22-14 lead.

In the second half, Northeastern fell behind 52-49 with 12:58 remaining in the game. The Huskies went on a 12-1 run over the next 3:58, keyed by four points each from Nkem Ojougboh and Eugene Spates, to establish a 61-53 lead that they never relinquished.

Matt Janning added 17 points for Northeastern, while Ojougboh had 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds.

Harvard was led by Drew Housman?s 16 points and five assists, while Evan Harris had 13 points and Pat Magnarelli and McGeary had 12 each.

Northeastern forced 12 Harvard turnovers and gave the ball up only six times. The Huskies scored 13 points off those turnovers, while the Crimson had only 4.
