Fairleigh Dickinson 85, St. Peter's 74

HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) -Sean Baptiste scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Fairleigh Dickinson to an 85-74 win over St. Peter's on Saturday night.

Bernell Murray added 16 points - including four 3-pointers - for the Knights (4-5), while Eric Hazard, John Galvin and Manny Ubilla each scored 12 points. Ubilla also dished out a game-high 10 assists.

Akeem Gooding had 20 points to lead the Peacocks (3-7), while Nick Leon added 18 points and Todd Sowell had 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

The teams traded baskets for most of the first half, but the Knights closed with a 16-8 run over the final 5:39 to take a 42-34 lead at the break. FDU then started the second half with a 17-8 run and was in command for the rest of the game, holding double-digit leads for most of the half.
