IPFW 82, North Florida 59

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -Jaraun Burrows scored 22 points and Ben Botts added 16 to help IPFW to an 82-59 win over North Florida on Saturday.

Burrows shot 7 of 10 from the field and sank eight free throws for the Mastodons. Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne (5-7) fell behind 3-2 to start the game but then went on a 16-0 run to take control in the first half.

The Mastodons took a 40-19 lead into halftime and withstood a 40-point second half from the Ospreys (1-10).

Botts, who capped the first-half run with a 3-pointer, shot 4 of 8 from 3-point range.

IPFW outrebounded North Florida 42-32 and made 27 of 35 free throws. The visiting Ospreys hit 8 of 11 free throws.

Cortez Riley led North Florida with 18 points, hitting 6 of 8 from the field. But the Ospreys shot 27 percent from the field in the first half and 38 percent for the game.

IPFW, meanwhile shot 44 percent for the game and 44 percent from 3-point range.
