ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -Paul Stoll scored 16 points and Texas-Pan American used a 13-0 second-half run to beat winless New Jersey Tech 76-61 Monday in the consolation game of the UCF Holiday Classic.
Dexter Shankle and Emmanuel Jones scored 14 points apiece for Texas-Pan American (8-10), which got 12 points and 11 rebounds from Zach Trader and 11 points from Nathan Hawkins.
Kraig Peters led NJIT (0-15) with a game-high 19 points. Dan Stonkus scored 13 and Justin Garris added 11 for the Highlanders, who have lost 19 straight dating back to last season.
NJIT was within 43-36 after Garris made a free throw with 15:52 left, but the deficit ballooned to 20 points over the next 3 minutes.
Brian Burrell and Shankle each hit 3-pointers to start the Broncs' burst and Stoll did the rest, scoring four points and setting up a three-point play by Jones.
The Broncs' lead stayed in double figures from there.
