RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) -Anthony Fisher and Daniel Northern each scored 22 points to lead Tennessee Tech to a 75-64 win over Eastern Kentucky Saturday at McBrayer Arena.
Trailing 50-42 with 12:55 remaining, Tech went on a 16-7 run to take a 58-57 lead on a Fisher layup with 5:55 left. Fisher went on to score six points in the last 3:49 to help Tech (5-10, 3-3) end its three-game losing streak.
Mike Rose led Eastern Kentucky with 16 points, followed by senior center Darnell Dialls with 14.
Tech won the rebounding battle 36-20, which led to several tip-ins. Rashaud Nixon and Amadi McKenzie joined Fisher and Northern in double digits for Tech with 15 and 10 points.
Eastern, losers of three straight games, hit just 39.3 percent from the field in the second half and scored on only four of its last 16 possessions.
The Colonels (6-8, 3-3) travel to Morehead State Thursday night, while Tech hosts Morehead State Monday night.
