BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -Kai Williams' double-double helped South Dakota State beat Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne 73-60 in the Summit League Saturday to snap a three-game losing streak.
Williams finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Jackrabbits (6-9, 1-3). He also had three assists.
Garrett Callahan had 18 points and Ben Beran added 11 for SDSU, which led 33-26 at the half despite shooting just 34 percent from the field. The Jackrabbits shot 58 percent after the break.
Zach Plackemeier IPFW (5-10, 2-2) with 13 points. Jaraun Burrows added 12 points and Ben Botts had 11.
Callahan's 3-pointer less than 30 second into the game gave SDSU a lead it gave up just once. Plackemeier hit a 3-pointer to give IPFW a 9-8 lead with 16:57 left in the first half, but Beran scored on a layup on the Jackrabbits' next possession to take back the lead for good.
SDSU was 14-for-14 from the free throw line.
The Jackrabbits outrebounded the Mastodons 36-22, including 12-5 on the offensive end.
