ELON, N.C. (AP) -Stephen Curry scored 15 points, including the tying and game-winning baskets with just over a minute left, to lead Davidson to a 59-57 Southern Conference victory over Elon on Wednesday night.

Elon was leading 57-54 when Curry got a 3-pointer to tie the game with 1:38 left. After Davidson called a 30-second timeout, Jason Richards stole the ball for the Wildcats (7-6, 5-0 Southern Conference) with 1:23 left. Curry missed a jumper, but Davidson got the rebound, and Curry got the basket to make the score 59-57.

The Phoenix (6-9, 4-3) had four chances to tie or win in the closing 40 seconds, including a missed 3-pointer by Montell Watson, who led the team with 15 points, and a missed 3-pointer and layup by Brett James, who had 14 points.

Thomas Sander scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Davidson.
