WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) -Durell Vinson came off the bench to score 18 points and grab eight rebounds as Wagner routed Monmouth 77-62 on Thursday night.

Mark Porter added 16 points and James Ulrich had 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Seahawks (11-4, 4-0 in Northeast Conference). Jhamar Youngblood had a game-high 25 points for the Hawks (4-12, 1-3), while Alex Nunner added 11.

The teams appeared evenly matched early on, trading baskets for most of the first half before Youngblood's layup at the buzzer gave Monmouth a 34-33 lead at the break.

The Hawks, though, went cold in the second half, hitting just 22.2 percent from the floor. This allowed Wagner to take control of the game, and the Seahawks went ahead for good on Porter's 3-pointer early in the second half.

Wagner also won the battle of the boards, outrebounding the Hawks 40-31.
