FAIRBORN, Ohio (AP) -Vaughn Duggins and Jordan Pleiman each scored 16 points to lead Wright State to a 66-55 win over Youngstown State on Thursday night.
Wright State (9-5, 1-3 Horizon League) took the lead for good when Duggins made a 3-pointer with 4:11 to play in the first half, making it 26-24.
The Raiders led by no less than four until Youngstown State (6-9, 2-3) drew within one, 47-46, with 9:55 left in the game. Two minutes later, the Penguins came within one point again when Mel Johnson made a jumper to make it 49-48.
But Pleiman made a layup and two free throws, then stole the ball to set the stage for a Scottie Wilson jumper and then made another layup to put Wright State ahead by seven with 6:14 to play. Youngstown State couldn't mount a threat from there.
Wilson scored 10 for the Raiders. Byron Davis and John Barber both had 13 points Jack Liles added 10 for the Penguins.
