MACOMB, Ill. (AP) -David Jackson scored a game-high 23 points to lead Western Illinois to a 75-52 win over South Dakota State on Thursday night.
James Washington added 15 points and Jerryck Owens-Murrey added 10 points for Western Illinois (7-8, 2-2 Summit), which led 28-19 at the half.
South Dakota State (6-10, 1-4) fell behind on miserable first-half shooting. The Jackrabbits were 7-for-26 from field-goal range and 1-for-7 from 3-point range before the break.
South Dakota State also had trouble containing Jackson and Washington in the second half. Jackson scored 15 points on 6-of-10 field-goal shooting and Washington went 8-for-8 from the foul line.
Garrett Callahan led South Dakota State with 12 points. Kai Williams and Dale Moss each added 10 points for the Jackrabbits.
