LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) -Edwin Ubiles scored 28 points, leading Siena to a 94-84 win over Niagara in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference basketball Friday.
Balanced scoring and a torrid second-half start powered Siena (9-6, 4-1) to the win, and four of its players scored 12 or more points. The loss snaps a six-game win streak and for Niagara (10-4, 4-1).
The Saints opened the second half making seven consecutive three-pointers as they built a 62-42 lead when Ronald Moore sank a three with 14:23 remaining.
The Purple Eagles came within seven points on several occasions but could not get closer. Siena made 8-of 10-free throws to pick up the win.
Siena?s Tay Fisher, who made four three-pointers, scored all 18 of his points in the second half. Ronald Moore added 18, and Alex Franklin scored 12.
Niagara?s Charron Fisher had a game-high 31 points. Benson Egemonye added 17 points and 13 rebounds. Nelson scored 14 points and Stanley Hodges added 12 for the Purple Eagles.
