CONWAY, S.C. (AP) -Mario Sisinni's lay-up at the buzzer gave Coastal Carolina a 76-75 win over Radford on Saturday.
The Highlanders (5-11, 0-1 Big South Conference) had just taken the lead with three seconds to go on two free throws by Kenny Thomas, who made all 10 of his foul shots for his only points of the game.
Radford led by 10 with 12 minutes to go, but the Chanticleers (8-6, 1-0) scored 13 points in a row over the next three minutes to take a 55-52 lead.
The game stayed close for the rest of the way. The Highlanders led by three with 1:22 left on two free throws by Thomas, but a lay-up by Phil Wallace with 1:08 left and a lay-up by Logan Johnson with 27 seconds to go put the Chanticleers up 74-73.
Everage Richardson led Coastal Carolina with 16 points, while Wallace added 13 points.
Radford's Joey Lynch-Flohr led all scored with 22 points, making nine of his 12 shots from the field and all four free throws. Amir Johnson added 16 points and eight rebounds for the Highlanders.
