MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) -Leon Buchanan shot a lay-up with two seconds left to pull Morehead State to a 81-79 win over University of Tennessee-Martin on Saturday.
Buchanan scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to give Morehead (6-9, 4-4 Ohio Valley) the first road win of the season.
Morehead led by 11 points with 3:37 left to play when UT-Martin's leading scorer Lester Hudson started a 15-to-4 run to tie the game 79-79 with nine seconds remaining.
Hudson, who scored 32 points in the game, started the run with a trio of 3-pointers and then hit four free throws.
Gerald Robinson shot 18 points overall for the Skyhawks and Marquis Weddle added 24 for the Skyhawks.
Maze Stallworth lead Morehead with 20 points and Kenneth Faried added 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
