NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Andy Wicke forced the first overtime with a 3-pointer and added eight points in the second to secure Belmont's 99-91 double overtime win against city rival Lipscomb on Saturday.
Wicke finished with 16 points and Shane Dansby led Belmont (10-7, 2-1 Atlantic Sun) with a career-high 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Lipscomb (7-10, 1-2) was led by Eddie Ard with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Ard shot a 3-pointer with just under two minutes left in regulation to give the Bisons their first lead of the game.
Wicke's 3-pointer with nine seconds left forced the game into overtime tied 75-75. Belmont's Matthew Dotson, who finished with 20 points, started overtime scoring with a pair of free throws and a jumper.
Lipscomb's LaKory Daniels sank a baseline 3-pointer with two seconds left to tie it again at 80-80.
The Bruins scored the first nine of 10 points in the second overtime and outlasted Lipscomb on Wicke's solid free throwing shooting.
