LORMAN, Miss. (AP) -Jeremy Caldwell had 22 points and 11 assists and Catraiva Givens scored 20 points as Jackson State beat Southwestern Athletic Conference rival Alcorn State on Saturday night.
The Tigers (5-11, 3-0 SWAC) broke open the game with a 7-0 run late in the first half to take a 24-19 lead, then put together a 16-6 run at the beginning of the second half to beat the Braves (2-14, 1-2).
Darrion Griffin had 13 points and six assists for the Tigers and Garrison Johnson scored 13.
Alex Owumi led Alcorn State with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
