HAMPTON, Va. (AP) -Rashad West scored 23 points to lead Hampton to a 69-63 victory Monday over Florida A&M.
Hampton (8-6, 3-0 Mid-East Athletic Conference) held Florida A&M to 42 percent shooting for the game, including 27 percent from the 3-point line. The Pirates made 51 percent of their field goals, and were 70 percent from the free-throw line.
Rashad West led Florida A&M (5-10, 1-2) with 23 points, and Michael Freeman and Vincent Simpson scored 14 and 12 points, respectively.
