SACRAMENTO (AP) -Demarcus Hall had 14 points, 10 rebounds and three assists to lead Cal State Bakersfield to a 73-61 win over Sacramento State on Tuesday.

Donovan Bragg added 14 points and six assists and Trent Blakley had 14 points and eight rebounds for the Roadrunners (6-12), who are in their second year of transitioning from a Division II school to a D-I program.

Loren Leath had 20 points and Vinnie McGhee added 17 for the Hornets (3-13).

After Blakley's 3-point shot gave the Roadrunners a 48-34 lead, the Hornets came back to cut the margin to 48-52 on a basket by Clark Woods with 10:48 left to play in the second half. The Roadrunners' defense, blocked shots and rebounding helped them outscore the Hornets 21-13 to end the game.

Trailing the Hornets 21-13, Terrence Johns started a 21-9 run for the Roadrunners that ended with 34-30 halftime lead.
