NEW YORK (AP) -DeMario Anderson scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds as Quinnipiac held off St. Francis, N.Y., 75-72 on Thursday night.

Evann Baker added 15 points for the Bobcats (9-8, 5-1 Northeast Conference), who led 38-36 at halftime.

Robert Hines led the Terriers (5-13, 2-5) with 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Marcus Williams added 15 points.

After Ricky Cadell's jumper got the Terriers even at 47 with 15:59 left in the second half, the visiting Bobcats went on 22-8 run to take command at 69-55 with 8:06 remaining. Casey Cosgrove made a 3-pointer to close out the run.

St. Francis came roaring back and got within one with a 17-4 run, capped by Jamaal Womack's 3-pointer with 12.2 seconds left. Anderson made two free throws with 10.1 seconds remaining to make it a three-point game, and St. Francis could get no closer.
