VESTAL, N.Y. (AP) -Reggie Fuller stole an inbounds pass with 3 seconds left, was fouled and made two free throws as Binghamton defeated Maryland-Baltimore County 62-59 on Saturday.
A UMBC 3-point attempt bounced off the backboard at the buzzer.
Fuller finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Bearcats (8-10, 4-2 America East), who have won their last six home games.
Binghamton led 29-18 at halftime and went up 36-18 2 minutes into the second half, when the Retrievers (12-6, 4-1) went on a 15-3 run.
Darryl Proctor finished with 18 points for UMBC while Ray Barbosa added 14 and Brian Hodges 12.
UMBC led 59-56 with 48 seconds remaining, but Lazar Trifunovic made two free throws for the Bearcats, who quickly fouled Hodges. He missed the front end of a 1-and-1.
After a timeout, Trifunovic's jump-hook gave Binghamton a 60-59 lead with 7 seconds to play.
Trifunovic scored 12 points and Mike Gordon and Dwayne Jackson both had 11.
