FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -Jaraun Burrows scored 23 points as Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne rallied from a first-half deficit to beat Oakland, Mich., 77-69 Saturday afternoon.
Chris Perkins added 18 points for the Mastodons (7-11, 4-3), and DeWitt Scott made four-of-eight 3-pointers to finish with 16 points.
IPFW started the Summit League game with an 8-0 run. But Oakland tied the score at 19 with nine minutes left in the first half and went on a 9-0 run to take control for the rest of the half.
Oakland (9-9, 4-3) took a 37-28 lead into halftime and then stretched that lead to 13 points before IPFW started to rally. The Mastodons tied the score at 47 with 11:30 left.
The teams then stayed within a few points of each other until IPFW went head 67-66 on a Burrows dunk with 2:31 left. The Mastodons then used free throws to ice the game.
Johnathon Jones led Oakland with 17 points, while Erik Kangas had 13. Oakland outrebounded IPFW 36-32.
The Mastodons made seven-of-15 3-pointers and shot 47 percent from the field. Oakland made 43 percent of its field goals.
