CHICAGO (AP) -Robert Bush and Robert Kreps scored 17 apiece to lead Illinois-Chicago past Detroit 75-65 at the UIC Pavilion Saturday afternoon.

Scott Vandermeer chipped in 13 points and had 10 rebounds for the Flames (10-8, 4-3 Horizon League), while Tori Boyd added 12 and Josh Mayo had 11. Kreps came off the bench to hit 9-of-10 free throws and add seven assists.

Detroit (4-14, 0-8) led 39-33 at the half, but the Flames surged in the second period, outpacing the Titans 42 points to 26.

Jon Goode dominated for the Titans, scoring a game-high 35 points in 36 minutes of play. No other Titan was in double digits, and Woody Payne was the team's next highest scorer with nine, while Zach Everingham added six.

Goode was the only Titan to make it to the free throw line, sinking 1-of-2. The Flames hit 20-of-27 free throws for 74.1 percent shooting. The Titans shot just 40.3 percent from the floor, compared with 51.2 percent for the Flames.

The lead bounced back and forth 13 times, and the score was tied nine times.
