Delaware St. 69, Norfolk St. 54

DOVER, Del. (AP) -Roy Bright had 20 points and six rebounds for Delaware State, which held off Norfolk State for a 69-54 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference victory Saturday.

Delaware State led 39-19 at the half, but was outscored 35-30 in the second half. However, Norfolk State led only once in the opening minutes and never took the lead after that.

Donald Johnson added 12 points and five rebounds for Delaware State (6-9, 3-0). Corey Lyons had 16 points and six rebounds to lead Norfolk State (6-9, 3-1). No one else scored in double figures for Norfolk State.

Delaware State had 18 points off turnovers.
