Northeastern 73, Delaware 69

BOSTON (AP) -Matt Janning had 20 points and Nkem Ojougboh had 17, and the duo combined for 10 of Northeastern's 12 points in overtime, for a 73-69 win over Delaware on Saturday night.
The Huskies (7-10, 3-4 Colonial Athletic Association) went ahead for good when Chaisson Allen scored on a putback for a 69-67 lead with 40 seconds left in overtime. Janning and Ojougboh then sealed the game with a pair of free throws each.
Alphonso Dawson led Delaware with 19 points, but just three after halftime.
The game was close throughout, as neither team led by more than four points after the 10:50 mark of the first half.
Both teams had a chance to win in the final seconds of regulation, but Janning missed a 3-pointer with 12 seconds left and Marc Egerson of Delaware (8-9, 5-2) missed from beyond the arc as time expired with the score tied at 61-61.
The Blue Hens went on an early 8-0 run to open up a 14-7 lead, but the Huskies quickly responded with eight straight of their own to tie the game at 17. The Blue Hens took a 35-32 halftime lead.
Northeastern scored seven straight in the second half to take a 52-48 lead, but Delaware responded shortly thereafter with an 8-0 run for a 58-54 edge.
