NEW YORK (AP) -Whitney Coleman's baseline jumper with 4 seconds left in overtime gave Monmouth to a 62-60 victory over St. Francis, N.Y., Saturday.
Coleman was 10-for-10 from the free throw line and had 24 points for the Hawks (5-14, 2-5 Northeast Conference.
Ricky Cadell led the Terriers (5-14, 2-6) with 20 points, including a three-point play that pulled them within 52-50 with 30 seconds left in regulation.
Alex Nunner hit one free throw to put Monmouth ahead 53-50 and Cadell hit a 3-pointer with 3 seconds left to send the game to overtime.
St. Francis took a 55-53 lead to start the overtime, but Coleman made a 3-pointer to reclaim a lead for the Hawks with 2:32 left. R.J. Rutledge hit two free throws with 43 seconds remaining to put Monmouth up 60-57.
Jamaal Womack's 3 with 30 seconds left tied it again and set up Coleman's game-winner.
Rutledge finished with 12 points for the Hawks and Nick DelTufo added 10.
Womack added 18 points for the Terriers.
