RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) -Bryan Friday scored 18 points to lead four players in double figures as Samford snapped a three-game losing streak with a 64-57 win over Eastern Kentucky Saturday night.
Samford (8-10, 5-5 Ohio Valley Conference) made 11 shots from long range, including six in the second half, sparking the Bulldogs' successful comeback attempt.
Joe Ross Merritt, Trey Montgomery and Travis Peterson had 12 points each for Samford.
Eastern (8-10, 5-5) led 49-47 with 7:42 left, but the Bulldogs used a 9-4 run to take a 56-53 lead with 2:39 remaining and never trailed the rest of the way.
Mike Rose scored a career-high 28 points, while Adam Leonard followed with 10.
Rose had 18 points in the first half and scored 14 of Eastern's first 19 points. The junior forward connected on four of the Colonels' eight shots from long range in the opening half.
The Colonels held a 26-25 lead with 2:30 remaining in the opening half, but Eastern scored the last eight points of the half for a 34-25 halftime lead.
The teams combined for 23 3-pointers.
