NEW YORK (AP) -Ryan Thompson scored a career-high 27 points and made 6 of 7 3-pointers to lead Rider to an 85-82 victory over Manhattan on Saturday night.
Rider won its fourth in a row, sending the Jaspers to their sixth loss in seven games.
After a scoreless opening half, Devon Austin scored 17 points and Nick Walsh hit a 3-pointer with 1:33 left to get Manhattan to within a point at 82-81. But Harris Mansell hit a 3-pointer with 28 seconds left.
Rider (12-6, 5-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) finished with 12 total 3-pointers and scored 29 points off 16 turnovers by Manhattan (8-10, 3-6).
The Broncos scored the first nine points and shot 57 percent to lead 35-28 at halftime, then made seven of their first eight 3-pointers after the break to lead 70-50 with 10 minutes left.
