MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) -Danero Thomas hit 19 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead Murray St. to a 76-72 win over Tenn.-Martin on Saturday.
Ray George and Bruce Carter both had 13 points for Murray St. (10-7, 6-3 Ohio Valley), which out-rebounded Tenn.-Martin 38-33.
The Racers outscored the Skyhawks (8-12 4-6) in the first half, 35-29, though Tenn.-Martin just edged past the Racers in the second half, 43-41.
Murray St. held its largest lead, 12 points, in the first half, and Tenn.-Martin led by as much as four also in the first half. The score was tied five times and the lead changed eight times during the game.
Lester Hudson was the lead scorer for Tenn.-Martin, dominating the floor with 32 points and six rebounds. Gerald Robinson also added 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Skyhawks.
