CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) -William Bullard led four players in double figures with 18 points in Texas A&M Corpus Christi's 76-69 victory against Central Arkansas on Saturday night.
Bullard was 7-of-11 from the field and 3-of-6 from 3-point range. He was followed by Kevin Perkins with 15 points, Justin Reynolds with 13 and Chris Daniels with 12.
The Islanders (4-12, 1-2) snapped a four-game losing streak.
Nate Bowie led the Bears (11-7, 1-3) with 23 points, and York Sims added 15.
Central Arkansas never led after the 18:08 mark of the first half, but the Bears trailed by just three at 56-53 when Ryan Williams made a layup with 8:13 remaining in the game. The Islanders answered with a quick 8-0 run that put them ahead 64-53 with 7:16 remaining.
The Bears had a chance to pull within two in the final minute, but Brian Marks missed a layup with 52 seconds left. A&M-Corpus Christi's lead was back to nine just 30 seconds later.
