PEORIA, Ill. (AP) -Theron Wilson scored a game-high and career-high 28 points to help Bradley edge Evansville 77-76 at the Carver Arena Saturday night.
Jeremy Crouch chipped in 18 points and had 7 rebounds for Bradley (9-10, 2-5 Missouri Valley), while Sam Maniscalco added 13 points and six assists. Wilson made 10-of-17 shots and 4-of-5 free throws.
Maniscalco gave Bradley its slim margin with 10.4 seconds remaining, and Crouch swooped in to dribble out the clock. The win snaps a five-game losing streak for the Braves.
Jason Holsinger had a team-high 23 points and 8 assists for the Purple Aces (5-12, 0-7) on 6-of-7 shooting. He also had five rebounds and was 5-of-7 from the free throw line. The only other Evansville players in double figures were Shy Ely with 20 points and Darin Granger with 14.
Evansville led 43-38 at the half but fell back in the second, scoring 33 points to Bradley's 39. The lead changed 10 times, and the score was tied four times.
