ITTA BENA, Miss. (AP) -Michael Clark scored 18 points and Larry Cox chipped in 15 and had 10 rebounds to lead Mississippi Valley State to 74-71 win over Alcorn State on Saturday.
The Delta Devils (4-11, 2-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference) led by as much as 21 in the first half, but Alcorn (3-15, 2-3) closed to within one point with just over two minutes to play.
Stanford Speech scored 15 points for Valley and Mike Davis added 13.
