ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) -Will Walker scored a career-high 19 points and Draelon Burns added another 19 to lead DePaul to a 92-60 victory over Florida Gulf Coast on Monday night.
After starting the season with a 2-7 record, DePaul has won seven of its last nine games.
Leading 33-30 late in the first half, DePaul (9-9, 4-2 Big East) pulled away for good with a 13-2 run. Mac Koshwal had a tip and made a jumper the next time down to give the Blue Demons a 46-32 lead with 52.3 seconds left in the half. Koshwal finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.
The Blue Demons extended their lead by outscoring the Eagles 13-0 during a three-minute span early in the second half. Walker hit back-to-back 3-pointers and scored nine points during the span.
Walker was 4-for-6 from 3-point range and Karron Clarke scored 15 points.
Rob Quaintance and Casey Wohlleb led Florida Gulf Coast (6-13) with 13 points.
Clarke led DePaul with 13 points in the first half. Quaintance led the Eagles with 13 points. He was 3-for-4 from 3-point range in the half.
DePaul, who is tied for second place in the Big East, gets back to conference play at Marquette on Saturday.
