ORONO, Maine (AP) -Joe Zeglinski scored a career-high 28 points as Hartford erased a second-half deficit to beat Maine 76-71 on Monday.
The Black Bears held a 36-29 advantage at the break after scoring 20 points off Hartford turnovers and connecting on 5-of-7 from three-point range.
Hartford (9-11, 3-2 America East) continued to trail until 15:11 remained in the game, when a Zeglinski 3-pointer sparked a 25-8 run for the Hawks.
Zeglinski had 11 points during the run and Morgan Sabia added eight, including the 3-pointer that gave Hartford a 54-52 lead with 7:48 to go.
Junior Bernal led the Black Bears in their first-half domination, scoring 14 of his 18 points before the break. Kaimondre Owes led Maine (5-13, 1-4) with 19 points in the game.
Hartford shot 51 percent and turned the ball over 22 times, but also forced 19 Maine turnovers. The Black Bears shot 41 percent from the floor.
