GRAMBLING, La. (AP) -Derek Johnson scored a game-high 27 points and Brian Ezeh added 14 as Prairie View A&M defeated Grambling State, 76-69, on Monday.

Prairie View (4-13) hit 47.4 percent of their shots from the field; Grambling (1-12) connected on just 35.4 percent. Prairie View also did a better job of holding onto the ball, turning it over 13 times, as compared to Grambling's 22. Johnson led Prairie View in steals, with seven of the team's 18.

Grambling had four players score in double digits, led by Andrew Prestley, who had 18 points. Duran Diaz had 12 points, including two 3-pointers.
