TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) -Gabe Moore had 14 points and seven assists and led four Sycamores in double figures as Indiana State routed Evansville 72-42 in a Missouri Valley Conference game Wednesday.

Indiana State (10-8, 5-3 MVC) held the Purple Aces to just 14 points in the first half while scoring 44 on 60.7 percent shooting. Indiana State was 3-for-4 from the free-throw line in the first half. The Sycamores' biggest lead was by 34 points with 12:51 left in the game.

The Purple Aces (5-13, 0-8) shot just 39.5 percent from the field for the game, but managed to outscore Indiana State 28-20 in the paint. The Sycamores shot 12-of-29 from 3-point range while the Aces were 0-for-2. Indiana State scored 29 points off turnovers.

Todd McCoy scored 12 points for Indiana State. Harry Marshall and Jay Tunnell had 10 each.

Shy Ely had 13 to lead Evansville. Pieter van Tongeren added 10.
