ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -Rog'er Guignard led Texas-Arlington with 13 points and the Mavericks overcame a halftime deficit to beat Texas-San Antonio 56-50 Wednesday night for their 17th straight home win.

Cardell Hunter added 12 points, including 10 from the free-throw line, and Anthony Vereen had 10 for Texas-Arlington (13-4, 3-2 Southland).

The Mavericks trailed by three points at halftime but stepped up their field goal shooting in the second half, improving from 35 percent to 42 percent.

Texas-Arlington outrebounded the Roadrunners, 36-34. Jermaine Griffin led the Mavericks with 10 boards.

JohnMark Ludwick led Texas-San Antonio (8-9, 2-2) with 15 points. Devin Gibson had six points, eight assists and four steals.

The Mavericks shot 38 percent from the field for the game to the Roadrunners' 32 percent.
