LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (AP) -Lamar Johnson came off the bench to score a career-high 23 points - including seven 3-pointers - as Rider coasted to a 93-80 win over Manhattan on Thursday night.
Jason Thompson added 20 points and 10 rebounds and Ryan Thompson had 15 points for the Broncs (14-6, 7-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Chris Smith scored 22 points for Manhattan (8-11, 2-7), while Laurence Jolicoeur had 18 points and six rebounds.
The win was the sixth straight for Rider, which held a double-digit lead for much of the game.
The Broncs took command midway through the first half, as Johnson hit three 3-pointers during a 16-2 run that gave the Broncs a 36-22 lead. And after taking a 47-34 lead at the break, Rider opened the second half with a 7-2 run and eventually sealed the win when Johnson fueled an 11-6 run midway through the half.
