GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -Terry Evans had all but two of his 16 points in the second half to lead Wisconsin-Green Bay to a 59-50 comeback win over Cleveland State on Thursday night.
Cedric Jackson had 19 points and seven rebounds for the first-place Vikings (14-6, 7-1 Horizon League), who had their six-game winning streak snapped.
The game was back-and-forth throughout as neither team was able to build a double-digit lead at any point.
But Evans' 3-pointer from the corner - only his second of the season - put Green Bay ahead to stay with 3:45 left. Evans also made 3 of 4 free throws in the closing minute to put the game on ice.
Green Bay (10-8, 4-4) had freshman point guard Rahmon Fletcher back in the starting lineup after coming off the bench in the Phoneix's previous game.
Fletcher was scoreless in the first half but helped spark the rally with 11 second-half points.
Tevah Morris also added a season-high 11 points off the bench and Ryan Tillema chipped in 10 to help Green Bay snap a three-game losing streak and improve to 7-1 at home this year.
No one else had more than seven points for Cleveland State, which finished a woeful 17-of-60 (28.3 percent) from the field.
Green Bay, which trailed by as many as eight points in the second half, got its first second half come-from-behind win of the year. The Phoenix was 0-7 when trailing at the half coming into Thursday's game.
Cleveland State led 24-19 at halftime after cold shooting by both teams.
