NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Mike Rose scored 18 points and Darnell Dialls made a key basket with 14 seconds left to lead Eastern Kentucky past Tennessee State 65-63 Thursday.
Eastern Kentucky (9-10, 6-5 Ohio Valley Conference) hit 57.7 percent in the second half and got balanced scoring.
Tennessee State (8-11, 5-5) had a 7-point lead midway through the second half.
Dialls had 15 points, including a rebound dunk with 14 seconds left to put the Colonels up 65-61. He made 7-of-10 from the floor and grabbed a team-high 7 rebounds. Adam Leonard and Justin Stommes added 13 points each.
Tennessee State, which led 30-27 at the half, was paced by reserve Andrae Belton with 19 points including 7-of-9 from the field. Bruce Price and Gerald Robinson scored 16 each.
Robinson missed a layup with 1 second left that would have tied the game.
