TROY, Ala. (AP) -Steven Moore hit a game-winning layup at the buzzer to lead Arkansas-Little Rock to a 63-61 victory over Troy Thursday night.
It was the second game-winning shot of Moore's career, and he finished the game with 17 points.
UALR (13-6, 5-3 Sun Belt Conference) nearly blew a nine-point lead with just over two minutes left as O'Darien Bassett scored seven straight points for Troy (9-10, 2-6 SBC). Bassett got Troy to within a point, 60-59, and then tied the game at 61-all with a layup after Moore went 1-of-2 at the foul line. UALR called a timeout with 4.6 seconds left, and Moore took the ball the length of the court for the game-winning points.
With 14 points, Bassett was one of three players in double figures for Troy. Jerome Odem and Justin Jonus added 13 points apiece.
John Fowler had 15 points for Arkansas-Little Rock.
