SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) -Chad Troyer made six 3-pointers and scored a career-high 27 points to lead the University of the Pacific to a 71-58 over UC Santa Barbara Thursday night.
The Tigers (14-5, 5-1) shot 59.5 percent and outrebounded the Gauchos (14-5, 3-3) 37-27, with Anthony Brown getting a double-double of 12 rebounds and 10 points.
UCSB shot just 24.1 percent in the first half to fall behind 26-17, and it finished at 32.1.
Troyer's last 3-pointer gave Pacific its biggest lead, 60-39, with 4:52 left.
Alex Harris, who had been ill all week, led the Gauchos with 15 points, although he made just 1-of-7 3-pointers. Chris Devine added 14 while James Powell scored eight of his 13 in the last three minutes.
