POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) -Idaho State shot 82.6 percent from the field in the second half and got 16 points from Donnie Carson in scoring an 86-63 victory over Sacramento State on Friday night.
The Bengals (7-12, 4-2 Big Sky) led by eight points at halftime and hit their first eight shots of the second half to break open the game.
In the second half, the Bengals made 19 of 23 attempts and led by as many as 24 points. Idaho State shot 60 percent for the game.
The Bengals got 15 points each from Matt Stucki and Austin Kilpatrick, 11 points and 14 rebounds from Logan Kinghorn and eight assists from Amorrow Morgan.
Sacramento State (3-16, 1-7) was led in scoring by Loren Leath with 21 and Justin Williams with 15.
In the opening half, Sacramento State led by seven points about eight minutes into the game, but Idaho State regained the lead by outscoring the Hornets 11-2 in a two-minute span. That scoring burst was keyed by three 3-pointers by Kilpatrick.
