ATHENS, Ohio (AP) -Jerome Tillman's jumper with five seconds left capped Ohio's second half comeback and lifted the Bobcats to a 61-59 victory over Ball State on Saturday.

Ohio (13-6, 4-2 Mid-American) trailed 35-23 at the half, but the Bobcats chipped away at the Cardinals' lead and went ahead 53-51 on Bert Whittington's layup with 2:10 remaining. Ball State (3-15, 2-4) tied it at 59 on Anthony Newell's 3-pointer with 26 seconds left, setting up Tillman's jumper.

Ball State closed the first half with a 16-8 run to take a 35-23 lead.

Leon Williams scored 23 points and had 12 rebounds for the Bobcats, while Whittington added 14 points. Newell scored 24 points and made 4-of-7 3-point attempts.
