JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) -Gerald Robinson scored 26 points and grabbed 19 rebounds in helping Tennessee Martin defeat Jacksonville State 81-70 on Saturday.
The Skyhawks (10-12, 6-6 Ohio Valley Conference) overcame an early lead by the Gamecocks (4-16, 2-10), who led by three in the final two minutes of the first half.
But Tennessee Martin tied the score, then pulled ahead by five to close out the first half 44-39. The team returned strong after the break and led the rest of the way.
Robinson was followed by Lester Hudson, the nation's second leading scorer, with 20 points. Hudson also posted 12 rebounds, while Marquis Weddle added 16 points for the Skyhawks.
Jacksonville State had three players in double figures, led by Nick Murphy's 15 points. Will Ginn scored 14 and Jonathan Toles added 11.
Amadou Mbodji led the Gamecocks in rebounds with six.
