CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) -Julio Anthony scored 16 points - including the game-winning 3-pointer with 2.8 seconds left - to lead Eastern Illinois past Morehead State 66-65 in overtime on Saturday night.
Anthony led four Panthers (3-17, 2-10 Ohio Valley) in double digits, including Tyler Laser, who came off the bench to score 13 points, and Jake Byrne with 12. Ousmane Cisse had a double-double, with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Eastern Illinois was successful from the free throw line, making 18-of-21 tries.
The Panthers led 30-28 at the half, and the game was tied at 57 at the end of regulation. Morehead State opened the extra period with a 62-59 lead, but they couldn't hold on.
Leon Buchanan scored a game-high 17 points and made 7-of-7 free throws for the Eagles (9-10, 7-5 Ohio Valley). John Lamb scored 12 points off the bench, while Jamyron Steward added 11. Kenneth Faried had the game's second double-double, with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
