TOWSON, Md. (AP) -Tony Durant scored 20 points and C.C. Williams had 19, leading Towson to a 73-64 victory over James Madison on Saturday night.

The two teams swapped leads 11 times before the Tigers (8-11, 4-5 CAA) pulled away, the first time this season they've won consecutive games.

Juwann James scored 23 to lead James Madison (10-9, 3-6), which lost its fifth straight on the road. The Dukes have lost six of the last eight to Towson, but still lead the series 19-8.

James Madison went on a 7-0 run to cut a nine-point lead to 62-60 with 2:36 left. But Josh Thornton hit a 3-pointer from the corner, and Williams and Durant combined to score seven of the Tigers' final eight points - all from the free throw line.
